Staff and Board Members

The staff and board members of FAC consist of a diverse group of community leaders who are passionate in their own field as well as the advancement of the arts in Fresno County. Board members contribute their countless energies, time, and money to steer the Fresno Arts Council forward as stewards of the arts in the community.

Staff Members

Cindy Dunn

Executive Director

Cindy Dunn started her involvement with the Fresno Arts Council as a Board Member. When the position was vacated by our former ED, Carol Hartman, she stepped up and volunteered to take the added responsibility of the Executive Director position. She is currently actively seeking partnerships and funding opportunities to ensure the continuity of FAC as a viable arts organization that is fiscally self-supporting.

Mrs. Dunn has over ten years experience in writing grants and funding proposals, coordinating programs and activities, and managing educational, employment and training services. She works for Fresno City College as a Program Coordinator, and is the founder and CEO of the Fashion Design Incubator. She was the Acting Director of the African American Historical and Cultural Museum from 2004-2005, and remains on the Board of Directors.

Maria Franco

Administrative Assistant

Maria has been with the FAC since 2000 and the Administrative Assistant since 2004. She has over 35 years experience in clerical and office management.  She is the driving force that moves the FAC into progress as she works with the Executive Director and Board members.  Mrs. Franco was an Office Manager at ABC Colleges ten years. She was employed 20 years with the City of Fresno and retired as Executive Secretary with the Housing and Community Development Department.

Jane Hoffman

Accountant

Ms. Hoffman provides financial review of work completed by the Administrative Assistant. She completes all quarterly and annual reports for both Federal and State agencies.  She has worked in the non-profit sector for the past three years along with her other clients. She helps to administer fundraising events and promotes the FAC to other organizations within the community.

Baldomero Galindo

Curator - City Hall Exhibits

The Fresno Arts Council promotes the work of artists and the City Hall employees by transforming the walls of City Hall into an art gallery. Mr. Galindo is charged with curating the displays for City Hall and work with artists each month in their exhibitions during the ArtHop day where the FAC hosts the exhibit with music and food reception.
