Communication and Partnerships

The Fresno Arts Council maintains and updates a list of over 1,800 e-mail addresses for sending out current arts and cultural information on a regular basis that includes exhibition notices and invitations, workshops, art and cultural classes, performances and job announcements.

Our Executive Director represents the FAC on various community organizations as well as meeting with the City of Fresno concerning the art on the Fulton Mall. Many of these groups take advantage of the resources that FAC offers, which includes access to our e-mail list and mailing list of over 2,000.

FresnoArts.net Social Network

Through a successful collaboration with a marketing firm, Socient, we were able to create FresnoArts.net, one of the first hyperlocal online social network for artists in California.  With FresnoArts.net, artists, arts organizations, and arts enthusiasts could learn more about the local arts landscape and engage the more than 1,000 local members into meaningful discussion and connections.  Using this social network allows promoters and artists to market their events and exhibits through inbound marketing tools such as the events calendar, blogs, and forums.

As of January 2010, FresnoArts.net has been visited over 80,000 times with over 500,000 page views a year, with over 5,000 unique visitors per month.   Feedback from artists and organizations have been overwhelmingly positive!

FresnoArts.info List Serve

The Fresno Design Alliance founder and Neu Design Media principal Katrina Neufeld helped the Fresno Arts Council established a list serve using the FresnoArts.info domain.  Artists, arts organizations, promoters, and arts enthusiasts could sign up to this list serve and post/receive daily digest of e-mails related to the local arts.

Artists/Group Meeting Space

The Fresno Arts Council's office is located in downtown Fresno, which offers art organizations and individual artists the use of its space for workshops and receptions with tables and chairs for 20 people. A number of groups whose own space is limited or wish to meet in a central location request the use of this room. When a request is for Saturdays or evenings, one of our staff is on duty to make the room available. We are located on street level at 1245 Van Ness Avenue.

Our office is handicap accessible and bus service is within one block of the building. Parking is on the street next to our front door. We offer wireless internet upon request.
